Job Opportunity: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Hilo, Hawaii
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Job Summary
- Provide care for laboring mothers, assist with delivery, and immediate newborn care.
- Post-delivery care for mothers.
- Use computerized systems including Meditech and fetal monitoring systems (GE/Centricity).
Required Qualifications
- License: Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required
- STABLE & Advanced Fetal Monitoring - Recommended
Schedule
- Variable shifts including day and night shifts.
- 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week after orientation.
- Scheduled 12-hour call at least once per month.
- No guaranteed hours or shift preference.
Additional Information
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date for an employee health appointment on Friday.
- Orientation week precedes regular shifts.
This position is ideal for experienced Labor & Delivery nurses seeking a contract role in Hawaii with variable shifts and a supportive clinical environment.
