Job Opportunity: RN - Emergency Department (Travel)

Location: Valparaiso, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Call Requirements: None
  • Floating: Required to float to other Emergency departments within the Northwest region only
  • Block Scheduling: Not an option
  • Number of Beds in Unit: 10
  • Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
  • Scrub Color: Navy blue
  • Orientation: 2 days approved orientation

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1.5 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with ED experience within the last year
  • ACLS certification
  • BLS certification
  • Patient prioritization skills
  • Rapid assessment skills
  • IV start proficiency
  • Medication administration skills
  • Critical care skills
  • Experience with Cerner EMR system

Role Scope

  • Provide routine Emergency Department care from triage to discharge or transfer

Additional Requirements

  • Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
  • Must attach required license and certifications with submission
  • Driver’s license and permanent home address must be included and match ID

  • No on-call requirements
  • Travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
