Job Description
- Start Date: ASAP
- Unit: Cardio Thoracic ICU (CTICU)
- Patient Ratios: Average 1:2 (days and nights)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-call: No
- Floating: Yes, within scope to other high-volume ICUs
- Block Schedule: Not accommodated
- Guaranteed Hours: Yes
- High acuity cardiac ICU requiring knowledgeable, experienced RNs
- Must be proficient with Swan-Ganz monitoring
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of CVICU experience within the last year
- Experience in Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU)
- Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Proficiency and experience with Swan-Ganz monitoring
