Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Description
- NBRC (RRT) certification and Indiana state license required.
- Shift: Every Other Week (EOW) required.
- First Time Travelers Accepted.
- Certification Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, RRT.
- Skillset Requirements: Minimum 2 years total experience with at least 18 months recent ICU experience.
- Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA.
- Floating between multiple hospital campuses may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana.
- Minimum 1.5 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year.
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Degree awarded or high school level education.
Additional Information
- IU Health will not allow Indiana RNs to work at their facilities effective 11/30/24, except for Periop/OR RN’s, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers.
- On-site fit testing is limited and must be documented if performed.
- PAPR (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) use is facility approved and may substitute fit mask requirements in some locations.
- Candidates must complete all required facility-specific forms and orientation packets prior to start.
- Candidates are paid for time spent completing mandatory RRT modules.
- Floating between multiple campuses may be required.
Prior Travel Experience
- No explicit requirement for prior travel experience; first-time travelers are accepted.
This position is ideal for experienced Respiratory Therapists with strong ICU skills looking for a travel contract in Indiana.
