Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General (Travel/Contract)

Location: Stillwater, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position requires working Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 AM to 11 PM, with Friday call from 11 PM to 9 AM.
• The technologist will work alone and perform various types of ultrasound exams.
• Required ultrasound exam skills:

  • OB (Obstetrics)
  • General Ultrasound
  • Echo (Echocardiography)
  • Abdomen
  • Small parts
  • Vascular

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with recent experience within the last year.
• Experience as an OB Technician and working with Maternal-Fetal patients.
• Proficient in performing ultrasound exams in the following areas:

  • OB (Obstetrics)
  • General Ultrasound
  • Echo (Echocardiography)
  • Abdomen
  • Small parts
  • Vascular
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only
  • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
• Experience as an Echo Technologist and Vascular Technologist.
• Strong independent skills and broad ultrasound knowledge essential due to working alone.

Experience Requirements

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Ultrasound Tech)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check: 7-year criminal history check within 30 days of start, including all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start; results must be finalized before start.
• Health requirements:

  • Physical exam within 1 year of start.
  • Immunizations and titers required: Tdap, Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Flu vaccination or approved declination form (seasonal requirement).
  • COVID-19 vaccination (new Comirnaty mRNA 2024-2025 vaccine) or approved medical/religious waiver.
• Other:

  • Government-issued photo ID required.
  • Photo for badge (passport-style with solid background).
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgments prior to start.
  • Completion of HealthStream training modules (2-3 hours) before start date.
  • Annual TB questionnaire.
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.

Additional Notes

• Candidate must review and sign facility-specific commitment to excellence standards and confidentiality agreements prior to start.
• Orientation includes a fit mask test and color-blind exam conducted onsite.
• Two professional references required within 3 years of start.
• Employment application and skills checklist required and must be updated annually.
