Travel ICU RN - New Mexico

Location: Carlsbad, NM
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (6:30 PM - 6:30 AM)
Unit Size: 12 beds
Patient Ratio: 1:2-3

Job Description

Provide total care for ICU patients including ventilators, titratable drips, and hygiene care
Floating required to Emergency Room (ER) and Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) departments
- ER floating involves assisting with call lights, medication passing, transport, IV starts, blood draws, etc. (no patient assignments)
- Med Surg floating may require taking a full patient assignment (up to 6 patients) or acting as an aide (up to 12 patients)
No call required
Holidays required
EMR system: MedHost
Scrub color: Any

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in New Mexico
Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
Experience in Emergency Department nursing
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Floating schedule is managed via a float log with rotation; exceptions may be made based on ER staffing needs
Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if included in the submission
48-hour guaranteed hours are NOT approved
