Description
Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General
Location: Mount Vernon, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Start Date: ASAP
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Weekends Required: No
Call Required: No
Floating: As needed within scope
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with experience within the last year
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Must hold a valid license appropriate for Ultrasound Tech in Washington
Additional Requirements
- Background check within 30 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years
- Education verification, including US equivalency documentation if education was completed outside the US
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Immunizations and health documentation required:
- Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (mask required if declined during flu season)
- Professional references: 2 completed within 1 year of start
Work Environment
- EMR system: EPIC
- Locals allowed to apply
- Block scheduling negotiable during interview
- Floating within unit as needed
Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- No weekend or call responsibilities
- Floating may be required within the scope of practice
This position is ideal for an Ultrasound Tech with at least 1 year of experience, current ARDMS and BLS certifications, and the ability to work a consistent Monday through Thursday evening shift in a travel contract setting.
