Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (PCU) - Travel/Contract

Location: Palm Bay, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Float between 4 hospitals, including ED Holding.
• Must be flexible to float to various units and locations within the region.
• Weekend requirement: Minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period.
• No on-call requirement.
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.
• EPIC experience required.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Florida
• Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with background checks including Social Security Trace, Education Verification, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Florida AHCA Level II fingerprinting clearance prior to start.
• Physical exam within 6 months prior to start required.
• Fit mask test required within 12 months prior to start (strict shaving policy, no PAPR alternative).
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start.
• Required immunizations or titers within 5 years for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella.
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (must include marijuana; witnessed urine collection required for instant tests).
• Completion of facility-specific documents including job description acknowledgment, confidentiality agreement, iCARE values, and badge photo.

Work Environment & Notes

• Contracted hours are guaranteed.
• Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Must be able to float to multiple hospital locations within the system.

Prior Travel Experience

• Not explicitly required. First-time travelers are accepted.

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of PCU experience who is flexible, adaptable to floating assignments, and meets Florida licensure and certification requirements.
