Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse

Location: McMinnville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Start Date: ASAP
Average Patients per Day: 6-7
Types of Cases: Start of Care (SOC), follow-ups, etc.
Guaranteed Hours: No
Weekend Requirement: No
On-call Requirement: No
Territory Coverage: 50-75 mile radius
Locals Accepted: Yes
Mileage Reimbursed: Yes, at IRS standard rate

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of Home Health experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience in a Home Health setting
Experience with Homecare Homebase (HCHB)
Experience with OASIS documentation systems

Additional Requirements

Background Checks: Must be current within 1 year, including SS trace, county searches, nationwide sex offender check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks
Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 1 year
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific guidelines for past positives)
- Immunizations or titers for Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 1 year
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
Competency Exams: Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
References: 2 professional references required (travel, allied, per diem acute care) within 3 years
Skills Checklist: Required annually

Work Environment

Dress Code: Scrubs or business casual
Charting: Electronic documentation using HCHB and OASIS

This position is ideal for experienced home health RNs who are comfortable with electronic charting systems and have at least 2 years of home health experience. Prior travel experience is not required, but first-time travelers are not accepted.
