Job Description

Position: RN in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours (typically 2 twelve-hour shifts and 2 eight-hour shifts)
Shift Times: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM & 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 10:45 AM - 7:15 PM
Weekend Requirement: Two 24-hour calls in a 6-week block plus additional call during the week
On-call Requirement: 2 calls per Monday-Friday week (either 7 PM - 11 PM or 7 PM - 7 AM) with 1 day per week available to stay late
Average Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
Must be able to scrub cardiac surgery independently and circulate
Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
Scrub role preferred & circulate role included
First-time travelers accepted
Pending license accepted but must be active prior to start date
Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
Guaranteed hours

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut prior to start date
Minimum 2 years of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing experience
CVOR experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Ability to independently scrub and circulate in cardiac surgery
