Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Position

Job Description

Seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist with a strong background in ICU, ER (including pediatric intubation and mechanical ventilation), Nursery (Level 1), and Med Surge floors. The role involves floating to all areas of the hospital, providing respiratory care for patients ranging from newborns to adults.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Maine
• Minimum of 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Experience working with pediatric patients
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in NICU and PICU settings, comfortable treating critically ill newborns and pediatric patients in the ER

Work Details

• Shift: Nights
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed, including weekends
• Call: No call requirements
• Patient Population: Newborn to adult patients across various hospital units
• Team Environment: Must be a team player with good communication skills, respectful, and maintain a positive attitude
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color

Additional Information

• The position requires floating to all areas of the hospital, including adult ICU, pediatric ER, nursery, and med-surg floors.
• The unit has approximately 159 beds.
• Equipment used includes Drager V500 ventilators, V60 BiPAP, Hamilton T-1 transport ventilators, Airvo high-flow oxygen units, neopuff, and Ram cannula.
