  • Friday 9:00 PM – 9:30 AM
  • Saturday 9:00 PM – 9:30 AM
  • Sunday 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Work Setting Experience: Adult Outpatient, Bedside/Portable Procedures, ER, ICU, OR, Pediatric Outpatient
• Equipment Experience: GE, PACS, Siemens
• Procedures:

  • Abdomen/GI: Abdomen decubitus, supine (KUB), upright
  • Chest and Thorax: Chest AP, Lateral Decubitus, routine, Upper Airway (soft tissue neck)
  • Head: Facial bones, Orbits, Paranasal sinuses, Skull
  • Lower Extremity: Ankle, Femur, Foot, Knee, Tibia-fibula
  • Mobile/Surgical: C-Arm procedure (O-Arm preferred), Portable abdomen, Portable chest
  • Spine and Pelvis: Cervical Spine, Hip, Lumbar Spine, Pelvis, Sacrum/Coccyx, Thoracic Spine
  • Upper Extremity: Clavicle, Elbow, Forearm, Hand, Scapula, Shoulder, Trauma shoulder or Humerus (Scapular Y, Transthoracic Axial), Wrist
• Professional Knowledge and Skills: Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions, Preparation/Administration of Contrast Media, Radiation Safety
• Average Daily Census: 150 exams
• Staff Ratios: 1:6 (days), 1:4 (nights), 1:3 (weekends)
• Dress Code: Scrubs in Black or Caribbean Blue
• Travel Radius: 50-mile radius required; no local travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid X-Ray Technician license in Virginia
• Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Experience with GE Healthcare equipment

Preferences

• Experience with Meditech and AGFA APCS systems
• Travel experience preferred but first-time travelers will be considered

Required Certifications & Compliance

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC accepted
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Required for applicable units (ED/ER, ICU, OR, etc.)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Required for applicable units (Peds, ER/ED, PACU)
• Other certifications as applicable based on unit assignment (e.g., NRP, TNCC)

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start, renewed annually
• Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (including marijuana; zero tolerance policy)
• Fit mask test (N95 preferred), updated annually
• Immunizations and titers:

  • Tdap within past 10 years
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
  • Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B (positive titer, vaccine series, or declination)
• TB screening: Negative TB test or chest X-ray as required, with annual TB questionnaire
• Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season

Background & Documentation

• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
• Virginia State Police background check performed by facility
• Government-issued photo ID required
• 2 professional references required
• Current application/resume required
• Skills checklist updated annually

• Candidates must complete required facility-specific documents and consents prior to start
• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required for this position

This position is ideal for X-Ray Technologists with at least 1 year of experience, who hold a valid Virginia license and ARRT certification, and are comfortable working a weekend night shift schedule in a high-volume outpatient and inpatient setting.
