Job Description
- Work in an outpatient clinic setting focused on breast imaging (screening and diagnostic mammography).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays.
- Typical day off during the week varies (usually Tuesday or Wednesday).
- Patient population: Adults and geriatrics.
- Unit uses EPIC electronic health record system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in Washington
- Mammography Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patients
- Proficiency in 3D Mammography, Diagnostic Mammograms, Digital Mammography, and Screening Mammograms
- Experience working with EPIC electronic health record system
Orientation & Work Environment
- Orientation duration: 8 hours.
- Scrubs: Any color allowed.
- Facility is a medical office building on campus.
Patient Care & Unit Details
- Outpatient breast imaging unit.
- No weekend or holiday shifts.
- Flexible weekday day off depending on unit needs.
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years.
- Drug screen: 10-panel within 90 days of start (instant tests not accepted).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
- Immunizations and health documents required:
- TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination form.
- COVID vaccine or declination.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years or declination.
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination.
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
- Fit mask test required for travel candidates (updated annually).
References & Employment History
- Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years required.
Additional Requirements
- Must complete required WorkRamp modules annually (regulatory, specialty, and facility-specific).
- Must complete EPIC training modules as assigned.
- May be required to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.
Summary
This is a 13-week travel contract for a Mammography Tech with at least 1 year of experience, working in an outpatient breast imaging unit in Seattle, WA. The position requires an active Washington license, ARRT certifications, BLS, and proficiency in mammography procedures including 3D mammography. First-time travelers are welcome. The schedule is Monday-Friday with no weekends or holidays, and a flexible weekday off. Compliance with background checks, immunizations, and training modules is mandatory.
