Job Opportunity: Med/Surg Nurse (Flexible Day Shift)

Location: Tuba City, Arizona
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse provides a variety of nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatments. The nurse must be able to work independently to complete assignments following physician orders, standards of care, nursing policies, and hospital procedures. Nursing duties include support to individuals of all ages and their families.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Nursing (Medical/Surgical)
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility (higher of 2 and 3 years interpreted as 3 years)
• License: Valid, current, full, and unrestricted Nursing License to practice in any U.S. state, territory, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) certification within 6 months of hire
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire

Additional Information

• Orientation occurs every 2 weeks
• COVID & Flu vaccine exemptions may be accepted after submission of a declination form
• Limited housing options available: shared housing units at $600/month, no family or pets allowed
• Housing application must be submitted 2 weeks prior to start date

• The facility provides comprehensive inpatient/outpatient emergency services and various specialty care including surgery and OB/GYN
