Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 1500 - 2330

Job Requirements

Valid Radiology Technician license in Louisiana
Radiology Technician with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Extensive C-arm experience
X-Ray Technician experience

Required Certifications

ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
LSRTBE (Louisiana State Radiologic Technologist Board of Examiners)
BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only, RQI accepted
Covid vaccination and flu shot

Required Licensure

Active Louisiana state license or Compact license required upon submission
License renewal must be completed prior to start if expiring within 30 days

Required Background and Compliance Checks

7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, updated annually
EPLS/GSA/SAM checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
Education verification of highest level required (if no state license)
Sex offender search within 30 days of start, updated monthly

Health and Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 12 months indicating good health
Negative TB test (PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 12 months, updated annually
Immunity or vaccination for:
- Rubeola (Measles)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella
Tdap vaccine required for certain units (ED, Pediatrics, Mother/Baby, NICU)
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 30)
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start, updated annually

Additional Requirements

Current/valid Driver’s License or government photo ID (color copy)
Skills checklist updated annually
Resume/application with 7 years employment history and explanation for gaps
Color passport-style photo for badge within 24 hours of booking

Important Notes

Upon assignment acceptance, may be required to participate in emergency response teams as directed by unit manager
Candidates uncomfortable with emergency team assignments should not apply
