Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Rehab)

Location: Wakeeney, Kansas
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Night shift, 5:45 PM to 6:00 AM, 3 days a week, every third weekend
Specialty: Rehab Med/surg, outpatient, and ER support

Required Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in the specialty
• Prior travel experience required (previous travel contracts completed)

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Rehabilitation experience with at least 2 years, including experience within the last year
• Med Surg experience
• Emergency Department (ED) experience
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Background & Health Requirements

• Background check within 1 year, including SS Trace, County searches (last 7 years), Nationwide, Sex Offender registry
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray (PPD, Q Gold, or TSpot within 1 year; chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD)
• TB Questionnaire annually if applicable
• Immunizations or positive titers for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Drug testing: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months prior to start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination (2025-26 season)

Additional Requirements

• Signed acknowledgment of Orientation Safety Manual (Joint Commission Training Safety Manual), updated annually
• Two professional references within the last 3 years
• Skills checklist completion required

This position offers an opportunity to work in a rehab med/surg setting with outpatient and ER support during night shifts on a travel contract basis. Prior travel experience is mandatory.
