Radiologic Technologist (Xray) - West Virginia

Required Qualifications

• ARRT Certification
• BLS Certification
• Valid West Virginia Xray License
• WV CARES registration required prior to start

Experience Requirements

• Must be able to function in all areas including General Xray, Portables, OR, and Fluoro
• First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general Xray studies, OR cases (cystoscopy, orthopedics, GI), and Fluoro cases (orthopedics & GI)
• Float between general department, fluoro, and OR as needed
• Handle approximately 110 scans/studies per day
• Use EMR system: Community Works
• Use PACS systems: Intellirad/Intelliconnect
• Operate equipment including C-arms (OEC), Portables (GE AMX with DR-Konica), and diagnostic rooms (Del Medical, Siemens, Philips)
• May be the only tech in-house overnight

Work Schedule

• Shift pattern: 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on (8-hour shifts)
• Shifts include:

  • Day: 06:00-14:30, 06:30-15:00, 08:00-16:30, 09:30-17:00
  • Afternoon: 14:30-23:00
  • Midnight: 00:00-08:00
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
• Holiday requirement: May be asked to participate in holiday rotation
• No call or standby required

Orientation & Training

• 5 shifts orientation with a preceptor
• 10-hour varied shifts during orientation
• No call required during orientation

Additional Information

• Staff consists of 6-7 techs on day shift, 3-4 on evening shift, and 1 on midnight shift
• No IV starts required
• Scrub color: Any clean, professional color allowed; permanent staff wear emerald green (matching optional)
