Job Description

• Registered Nurse to cover Emergency Room (ER) and Observation (OBS) unit.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Experience

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (ER)
• Required years of experience: Not explicitly stated; assume minimum standard for ER RN roles (typically 1+ years).
• No prior travel experience required.

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID.
• I9 or Attestation.
• E-Verify or Attestation.
• 7-year criminal background check within 30 days of start, updated annually.
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks.
• Education verification as applicable.
• NURSYS verification for RN license.
• Medication and competency exams as applicable.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start.
• Immunizations and titers required:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable).
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months.
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella: positive titer or proof of vaccination (no declinations accepted).
  • Hepatitis B: positive titer, vaccine series, or declination.
  • Varicella: positive titer or proof of vaccination (no declinations accepted).
• Flu vaccination or approved declination form required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31).
• COVID vaccination or approved declination form required.
• Annual TB questionnaire.
• Color blind exam and fit mask test completed onsite.
• References: 2 professional references within 3 years.
• Employment application and skills checklist required (updated annually).

Orientation and Training

• HealthStream modules must be completed prior to start (2-3 hours).
• Facility-specific orientation and commitment to excellence standards must be reviewed and acknowledged before starting.

Additional Notes

• The first 16 hours of orientation (including module time) are non-billable.
• Flu and COVID declination forms must be completed if vaccines are declined.
• Photo for badge required (passport-style with solid background).

This position is ideal for RNs with ER experience who hold the necessary certifications and licensure, and who are ready for a 13-week travel assignment in Oklahoma.
