Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (ER) - Travel/Contract

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work in Onc Pod Emergency Department
• 12-hour day/night rotating shifts only (floating required)
• Shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks; may include nights or mixed shifts based on department needs
• Patient ratio: 1:4

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Must have 1 year of prior travel experience (explicitly required)
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• EPIC electronic health record experience required

Required Certifications

• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Required Skills

• Proficient in IV starts
• Experience with telemetry monitoring

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• At least 1 year of total travel nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
• NIHSS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Proficiency in IV starts
• Experience with telemetry monitoring
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

• Request Time Off (RTO) must be submitted at application; up to 7 consecutive days off may be granted at facility discretion for 14-week contracts
• Background check and fingerprinting results must be clear prior to start; pending fingerprint attestations accepted under specific conditions
• Two professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership role
• Employment application and skills checklist required

This position is ideal for experienced ER Registered Nurses with prior travel experience who are comfortable with rotating shifts and working in a fast-paced emergency oncology environment.
