Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN

Job Description

• Provide nursing care to assigned patients during shifts, following the health system’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
• Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills.
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
• Must demonstrate flexibility with work schedule changes.
• Expected to float to other units within scope of practice and skill set; refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the week.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• Prefers candidates available for varied shifts (days or nights).
• Candidates available for days or nights only will also be considered.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2+ years of OB experience (highest required years of experience).
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment (prior travel experience required).

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license (Nursys verification required).
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Current S.T.A.B.L.E. certification.
• Current Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to function as a 1st assist and scrub in OB procedures (highly preferred).

Additional Information

• EMR system used: MediTech
• Nonbillable hours: 8 hours per week
• OT/Holiday/Call back pay at 1.25x regular rates

This position is ideal for experienced OB/GYN RNs with prior travel experience seeking a temporary assignment in Ohio.
