Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location: Seattle, Washington

Job Summary
Seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics. This is a travel/contract position requiring flexibility to float to other campuses within the system. First-time travelers are accepted.

- Pulmonary Function Test Lab (Preferred)
- Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department (ED), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatrics (Required)
Clinical Skills & Responsibilities
- Airway Management: Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement and suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy suctioning
- Medication Administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Theophylline, Tobramycin, Xopenex
- Medication Delivery Systems: Aerosol setup mask and trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler
- Nebulizer Types: Cold, Handheld, Heated, Ultrasonic, T-piece, Trach collar
- Ventilator Management: BiPAP, Flow-by, CPAP, High frequency oscillator, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation
- Ventilators: Draeger, Servo I (Required)
- Professional Knowledge: Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) interpretation, Basic EKG
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Experience working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Experience in an acute care setting
- Airway management experience including:
- Extubation
- Intubation assist
- Nasal airway placement and suctioning
- Oral airway placement
- Oropharyngeal suctioning
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics specialty
- Experience in Adult Critical Care, ED, PICU, and Pediatrics required
- Prior travel experience not required (first-time travelers accepted)
Work Schedule
- Weekend coverage is variable, typically every other weekend
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to float to other campuses within the health system
- References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment
- Completion of required facility and system-specific training modules annually (via WorkRamp LMS)
- Compliance with facility-specific float policies
