Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology Technologist (Travel/Contract)
Location: New Haven, Connecticut

Work Schedule
- 4x10 hour shifts, Days
- Bi-campus coverage: York Street Campus and Saint Raphael Campus
- Weekend shifts: Not required
- On-call: Not required
- Floating: May float within scope to meet facility needs
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Connecticut
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Required Certifications & Licenses

- State license: Must be active prior to start date (Connecticut license required)
Special Requirements
- Bi-campus coverage (work at two campuses)
- Guaranteed hours
- Pending license accepted only if active before start date
- RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: RTO > 7 days requires approval
Facility & Work Environment
- Short Term Acute Care Facility
- Level I Trauma Center
- Charting system: Epic
- Scrubs provided (Misty Green, OR scrubs)
Background Checks & Compliance
- 7-year criminal background check required within 12 months of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start
- Education verification required (including foreign equivalency if applicable)
- Sex offender search required
- Employment application with 7-year work history, no gaps > 90 days
- Work history verification for last 7 years required
- Attestation of prior radiation exposure required for this specialty
Health & Safety Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (3M N95 preferred)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray documentation required
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunizations/vaccinations:
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) - positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B - positive titer, vaccine series, or declination accepted
- Varicella - positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history required
- Tdap preferred for certain specialties (not required here)
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID vaccination preferred
Competency & Training Requirements
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required within 12 months, minimum 85% score
- Color Blind Testing required for all candidates (effective 8/2/2024), minimum 80% score
- Various facility-specific training modules and attestations (e.g., Stroke Education, CLABSI Prevention, Pressure Injury Prevention, Language Services, CAUTI Education, Patient Transportation with Oxygen, Suicide Risk Assessment, Pyxis MedStation, Baxter Pump Interoperability, Patient Bedside Rounding, Ventricular Assist Device Awareness, Blood Administration, New Employee Orientation, 21st Century Cures Act, ED Handbook, eCart Training, Chaperone Policy Training) are required for RNs and applicable staff; Interventional Radiology Technologist should confirm specific requirements with recruiter.
