Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse – Endoscopy

Location: Conway, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

• 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts
• Rotating start times: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, 7:15 AM - 3:45 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Call required one day a week and every 5th weekend
• Typically managing 3 rooms daily with about 28-35 cases per day

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• Minimum of 1 year of Endoscopy experience, with experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Certifications & Competencies

• BLS required for all clinical travelers except Medical Technologists
• ACLS may be required for telemetry, endoscopy, and cath lab techs (verify if applicable)
• Other certifications (PALS, NRP, TNCC) as required by specialty or unit
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exams as applicable
• Color Blind Testing required
• Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, confirming ability to work without restrictions
• Fit mask test within 3 months prior to start (except MLT)
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccination within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccine series, or declination)
  • Varicella (chickenpox)
• Seasonal flu vaccination or documented declination required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31)
• COVID vaccination preferred but not required

Background & Compliance

• 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with contract renewals
• Education verification and primary source license verification required
• Drug screening: 9-panel or 15-panel drug screen within 30 days to 1 year of start (depending on panel)
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions

Additional Notes

• Onboarding includes completion of facility-specific applications, orientation modules, and acknowledgment of safety manuals
• Photo ID and passport-style photo required for badge
• Facility-specific forms such as TB risk assessment and flu declination must be completed
• Work history verification not required for clinical positions such as RN

This position is ideal for experienced Registered Nurses with Endoscopy skills who are licensed in South Carolina and meet the outlined certification and health requirements.
