Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech (Surgical Services)

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Shift: Day/Evening rotating schedule with 2x8-hour and 2x12-hour shifts
  • Shift rotation is required
  • Call requirements: 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule
  • Call shifts are no longer than 12 hours
  • Weekend call is either Friday & Saturday night or Saturday & Sunday during the day
  • Work with adult cardiac surgery, vascular, and thoracic patients including complex and high acuity cases such as:
    • Cardiac: LVAD/RVAD, Heart Transplant, Aortic Aneurysm Repair, MVR, AVR, CABG, ECMO, MAZE, Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices
    • Thoracic: Transplant, VATS Wedge Resection, VATS/Open Lobectomy, Esophagectomy, Bronchoscopy, EGD, Mediastinal Mass Removal, Hiatal Hernia Repair
    • Vascular: AAA, EVAR, Carotid Endarterectomy, AV Fistulas, Fem-distal bypass, Fem-fem bypass, SMA bypass, Vein stripping/ablation

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment as a CVOR Technologist
  • Experience working with adult patients

Additional Information

  • Unit is flexible with time-off requests and scheduling
  • Positive team dynamic and supportive management
  • Orientation includes pass/fail testing (EKG competency for applicable units)
  • Multiple facility-specific documents and attestations required prior to start
  • Candidates must submit required paperwork within 3 weeks of start to avoid removal from assignment

This position is ideal for experienced CVOR Techs who have prior travel experience and are comfortable with complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases in a high-acuity environment.
