Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) (Days)

Location: Lima, Ohio
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide patient care within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
• Responsible and accountable for care of assigned patients during shift.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria.
• Make clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills.
• Assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.
• Must float to all units within skill level; refusal to float may result in being sent home without pay for the week.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN) in Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of ICU experience required (higher value taken from description)
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • Active Ohio RN License (or Compact RN License)
  • American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
  • American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) Certification
• Additional Preferred Certifications:

  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Certification highly preferred
• Skills:

  • Must have current skills checklist pertinent to ICU specialty (updated within 1 year)
• Other Requirements:

  • Immediate Open Heart Recovery experience preferred
  • Ability and willingness to float to all units within skill level

Additional Information

• EMR system used: MediTech
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Nonbillable hours: 8 hours per week
• OT/Holiday/Call back pay at 1.25x regular rates
