Job Opportunity: CVOR Tech - Surgical Services

Location: Everett, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Seeking a CVOR Tech to support surgical services in Everett, WA. This is a travel/contract position with a 13-week assignment.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid CVOR Technologist license in Washington
  • Minimum of 1 year of CVOR Technologist experience
  • CVOR Technologist experience within the last year

Licensure & Certifications

  • Must hold a valid license/certification appropriate for CVOR Tech role.
  • Required certifications (verify per candidate's profile and clinical track):
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation certification.
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - Required for ER roles; verify if applicable.
    • CHEMO Certification - Advanced ONS/ONCC Certification required for Oncology placements (if applicable).
    • Other certifications as required by clinical track or facility.

Background & Compliance

  • Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years. Must be updated annually.
  • Education verification required.
  • Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
  • References: Minimum of 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting.
  • Employment application covering at least last 5 years required.
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
  • Immunizations and health documents required:
    • TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination accepted.
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually.
    • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer.
    • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.
    • Varicella vaccination or positive titer.
    • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination.
    • COVID vaccine or declination.
  • Respiratory safety clearance required annually for respirator use.
  • Fit mask test required for travel candidates (updated annually).

State & Facility Specific Requirements

  • Washington State Patrol background check (WATCH/WSP) required within 90 days of start and updated every 2 years for certain facility types.
  • WA Nurse Aide OBRA Registry Search required for CNAs at Skilled Nursing Facilities (not applicable for CVOR Tech).
  • Multi-state licensed nurses in Washington must complete demographic attestation if working with out-of-state compact license.
  • Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background).
  • Floating policy acknowledgment required; may be asked to float to other Providence facilities within reasonable distance.

Training & Competencies

  • Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
    • Annual regulatory requirements modules.
    • Specialty-specific modules for Surgical Services or CVOR Tech role.
    • Facility-specific modules as applicable.
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable.
  • Competency exams and skills checklists updated annually.

Additional Notes

  • This position requires compliance with Providence Health and Services policies and procedures.
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete all required documentation and training prior to start date.
  • Per diem candidates have some differing requirements for background checks and training modules.
