Job Description

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Unit: General Surgery (Medical Surgical)
• Shift: Nights
• Prior travel experience required (No locals)
• Cannot accommodate Easter weekend Return to Office (RTO)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA Provider, Instructor, or RQI acceptable (required for ICU RNs; verify if applicable)
• Other certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (verify with recruiter)

Background and Health Requirements

• Criminal background check (updated if no assignment within last 90 days)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required
• Physical exam within 1 year, signed by physician
• Annual respirator fit testing (Fit Mask)
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
• TB Questionnaire required annually
• 12 Panel Drug Screen within 90 days prior to start
• Influenza vaccination exemptions allowed for medical/religious reasons (documentation required)
• COVID-19 vaccination exemptions allowed for medical/religious reasons (facility-specific forms required)

Additional Requirements

• Copy of valid Driver’s License or State ID
• Completion of competency exams as required by specialty
• References: 2 required
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and training (e.g., Healthstream courses)

Notes

• Candidates must be able to work nights in a General Surgery setting
• Prior travel experience is mandatory; local candidates will not be considered
• Easter weekend time off requests cannot be accommodated
