Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Position does not float between units
- On-call required: Minimum 1 call per month
- Weekend shifts required: Sunday 12:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Block schedules: Not required
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1
- Special requirements: O-ARM training, fluoroscopy, and OR experience required
- Charting system: Epic

Required Qualifications
- Valid X-Ray Technician license in Oregon
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience, including experience within the last year
- O-ARM training
- Fluoroscopy experience
Required Documents & Checks
- Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
- Education verification (degree/diploma/transcript as applicable)
- State-specific searches (Oregon Abuse/Neglect, Washington WSP/WATCH, OBRA Registry for CNAs if applicable)
- Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis) within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
- Respiratory safety clearance for respirator use (annual)
- Fit mask test (annual, travel only)
Additional Requirements
- References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment within last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least last 5 years (7 years for APN/Subcontractors) with month/year format
- Skills checklist updated annually (if applicable)
- Radiation badge issued by facility (FYI only)
- Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background)
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, regional, and facility-specific) prior to start and annually thereafter
- Epic training modules completion required for Epic system access
Work Environment & Scheduling
- Short Term Acute Care hospital setting
- 1:1 patient ratio
- On-call and weekend shifts required
- No block scheduling
- Floating to other Providence facilities may be required (acknowledgement form required)
This position is ideal for X-Ray Technologists with at least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology, who have O-ARM, fluoroscopy, and OR experience, and are comfortable with on-call and weekend shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment.
