Job Opportunity: Echocardiographer (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer)

Job Description

• Operate echocardiography equipment to obtain and record two-dimensional and M-mode graphic representations of the heart using high-frequency sound waves.
• Assist physicians in diagnosing cardiac malfunctions, malformations, and abnormalities.
• Work with patient populations including Cardiac and Acute Myocardial Infarction cases.
• Interact effectively with patients, their families, and healthcare team members while upholding professional values.
• Utilize critical thinking skills in performing tests such as stress testing and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs).

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• Licensure: Must be registered through ARDMS Registry; RDCS or CCI credential required.
• Education: Associate Degree in Applied Science or related field.
• Experience: Experience with stress testing and TEEs.
• Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC acceptable).
• Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID.
  • Completion of required health screenings and immunizations including:

    • COVID-19 vaccine (declination accepted).
    • MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap vaccines or positive titers (with booster or declination accepted).
    • Influenza vaccine (seasonal requirement, declination accepted).
    • TB test (negative test or appropriate documentation if history of positive test).
  • Fit test for respirators completed prior to start.
  • Drug screening (9-panel) within 30 days of start.
  • Background check and professional license/certification verifications within 30 days of start.
  • Health statement and physician statement within the last 12 months.
  • Completion of skills checklist within 12 months.
  • OSHA questionnaire completion.
  • Other professional verifications including education, references, and employment eligibility attestations.
