Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (MS/Tele)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: 3x12 hour shifts, Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Schedule: Weekend rotation and holidays as needed
  • Call: No call required
  • Floating: All travelers may be floated between campuses as needed

Patient Population & Responsibilities

  • Care for stable trauma patients
  • Pre-op and post-op care for surgical patients
  • Use of rapid response teams, blood product administration, and peripheral line care/management
  • High volume surgical cases include exploratory laparotomies, hemi-colectomies, mastectomies, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, eye surgeries, trauma, and plastic surgeries
  • Lower volume includes gynecological surgeries (hysterectomy, myomectomy, etc.), palliative care, 24-hour observation, and medical overflow patients

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge and experience with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with blood product administration
  • Experience with peripheral line care and management
