Job Opportunity: CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) - Travel/Contract

Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Position involves day and evening shift rotation with options for:

  • Combination of 2 eight-hour and 2 twelve-hour shifts
  • 5 eight-hour shifts
• Shift times:

  • 06:30-14:30 / 14:30-22:30 (2x8s)
  • 06:30-18:30 / 10:30-22:30 (2x12s)
  • Option for 5x8s rotating day/evening shifts
• Day and evening shift rotation is required
• Call requirements:

  • 2-4 weeknights and 1-2 weekends of call per 4-week schedule
  • No call shift longer than 12 hours
  • Weekend call limited to Friday/Saturday night or Saturday/Sunday daytime

Patient Population & Procedures

• Adult cardiac surgery patients, vascular, and thoracic cases with complex and high acuity needs including:

Cardiac:

• Cardiac surgery
• Aortic Aneurysm Repair
• Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
• Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
• Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
• ECMO
• Heart Transplant
• MAZE procedure
• LVAD/RVAD
• Aortic Balloon/Impella Devices

Thoracic:

• VATS Wedge Resection
• VATS/Open Lobectomy
• Esophagectomy (Minimally Invasive & Transhiatal)
• Bronchoscopy
• EGD
• Mediastinal Mass Removal
• Lung Transplant
• Laparoscopic & Open Hiatal Hernia Repair

Vascular:

• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA)
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
• Carotid Endarterectomy
• AV Fistulas
• Femoral-distal bypass
• Femoral-femoral bypass
• Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA) bypass
• Vein stripping/ablation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience, with CVOR experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Scrub experience rated 3 or 4 on the skills list
• Experience working with adult patients

Additional Notes
