Travel Registered Nurse (ICU) - Maryland (Hagerstown)

• Shift/Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week, every other weekend required (EOW)
• Patient Population: Trauma, Cardiovascular, Stroke, Neuro
• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Floating: Floating within scope to Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) as needed
• Block Scheduling: Not accommodated
• On-call: Not required
• First-time Travelers: Not accepted (prior travel experience required)
• Locals: Accepted (local rate adjustment applies)
• Electronic Medical Record: EPIC required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Prior travel nursing experience required (first-time travelers not accepted)

Special Requirements

• EPIC experience required
• Weekend work every other weekend
• Floating to IMC unit as needed

Health & Compliance Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (specific mask types preferred)
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (with specific requirements for PPD testing)
• Proof of immunity or vaccination for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccination, or declination)
  • Varicella
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 1 year
• Flu vaccine required (no declinations accepted; deadline 10/31/2025)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal check, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG annually
• Proof of 2 clinical references
• Skills checklist updated annually as applicable

Additional Notes

• Pending license accepted
• RTO (Return to Office) restrictions: 1 request allowed
• Performance evaluation required if worked with the system over 1 year
• Fingerprinting required for school placements only (not applicable here)

This position is ideal for experienced ICU RNs with prior travel contract experience who are comfortable working in a trauma and critical care environment with EPIC EMR proficiency.
