Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Tucker, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide, coordinate, and direct home nursing care according to physician orders and agency policies.
• Supervise and evaluate Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses.
• Conduct home visits and periodic office meetings.
• Average patient load: 5-8 patients per day.
• Types of cases: Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-up Visits, etc.
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (some positions may have alternate schedules such as 4x10 shifts).
• Travel: Must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from home clinic; compensated for travel between patient homes (not commute to/from first/last patient).
• Charting: Proficiency required in HomeCare HomeBase (HCHB) and OASIS (used within last 6 months or retraining required).
• On-call: 1-2 weekends per month and holiday rotation (varies by location).
• Locals accepted at the same rate.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Home Health nursing within the last year.
• Experience working with adult patients in a Home Health setting.
• Hospice experience.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
