Job Opportunity: RN - Tele (Travel)

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Days, 7 AM - 7 PM
Employment Type: Travel, Full Time
Temp to Perm: Possible

Job Summary

As a competent Registered Nurse, you will practice independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex care. You will manage long-range goals and contingencies in nursing care, make appropriate assignments, and delegate tasks to other care providers to effectively manage clinical situations.

Patient Population

Rehab patients (9th floor)
Surgical and respiratory patients (11th floor)
Mixed patient census across floors

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care consistent with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor side effects and effectiveness
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of telemetry nursing experience within the last year

Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Preferred Skills & Experience

Experience with Epic electronic health record system preferred
Experience with trach/vent and high flow oxygen recommended but not required
Rehab experience recommended but not required

Additional Information

Work schedule: 7 AM to 7 PM
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position

This role is ideal for an RN with at least 1 year of specialty experience seeking a travel assignment in a diverse clinical environment with opportunities for temp-to-perm transition.
