Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
- Weekend Requirement: Work every third weekend
- On-Call: Yes
Required Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology / Cardiology specialty
Required Certifications & Licenses
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- EPIC experience required (electronic medical record system)
- Preferred skills: GE Siemens, PACS, and portable X-ray equipment
Required Qualifications
- Valid X-Ray Technician license in Ohio
- Minimum 1 year of X-Ray Technician experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ARRT certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends as scheduled
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including FBI and BCI fingerprinting
- Fingerprinting must be completed using Ohio-specific codes and within 1 year of start date
- Monthly monitoring through workforce monitoring systems
- Education accreditation verification required (must graduate from accredited program)
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (includes amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cannabinoids, cocaine, methadone, methaqualone, opiates, PCP, propoxyphene)
- Physical exam and immunizations/vaccinations required (including Tdap, MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB screening)
- Flu vaccine or declination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually
- Compliance with dress code and hand hygiene policies
Additional Competency & Training Requirements
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 1 year of start and updated annually (for RNs, if applicable)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications as applicable based on unit assignment (not specifically required for this role but may be checked)
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required for RN/LVN candidates (not applicable here)
- Unit-specific competency exams may be required

Summary
This is a travel contract position for an X-Ray Tech with at least 1 year of experience in Radiology/Cardiology. The role requires night shifts with weekend rotation, proficiency in EPIC, and certifications including BLS and ARRT. Candidates must comply with extensive background checks, fingerprinting, drug screening, immunizations, and training requirements.
