Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech

Location: Mooresville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty
• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Mammography Tech)
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Local Candidates: Accepted (within 75 miles)
• Scrubs Color: Wine

Required Certifications & Skills

• ARRT Mammography (M) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only)
• Outpatient experience required
• Mammography-specific continuing education:

  • 40 hours training in Mammography
  • 25 supervised mammograms
  • 8 CEUs of initial training in 2D and 3D Mammography
  • 15 CEUs in the last 2 years (all Mammography)
  • Documentation of 200 mammograms in the last 12 months, broken down by month

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• ARRT Mammography certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA only)
• Experience in an outpatient setting

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 90 days of start, including SSN trace, alias, education verification, and international searches if applicable
• Education verification required for Radiology/Cardiology specialties
• E-Verify or attestation required
• OFAC sanctions list search within 30 days of start
• Pass/fail testing on basic tech knowledge at orientation (passing grade 80%)
• Competency exam specific to unit required
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training provided during orientation (not required to be collected)
• Duke Guest Account setup required prior to clearance for access to orientation and work systems

Orientation & Onboarding

• Orientation sessions held bi-weekly
• Online modules must be completed prior to orientation
• Competency checklists (CBOs) must be completed within 3 weeks after start date
• First Day Instructions (FDI) provided prior to orientation week

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 75 miles considered at a local rate
• Flu vaccine is mandatory with no exemptions allowed
• Candidate must wear wine-colored scrubs
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
