Job Opportunity: Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse

Job Description

• Work in a Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) unit focused on Oncology with mixed acuity PCU and MS units.

• Patient diagnoses include:

  • Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)
  • Acute Myeloid Leukemia (Adult)
  • Amyloidosis
  • Aplastic Anemia
  • Chronic Leukemia (CLL, Myeloid)
  • Hodgkin's Lymphoma
  • Multiple Myeloma
  • Myelodysplastic Syndrome
  • Myeloproliferative Disorders
  • Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma

• Special procedures include:

  • Autologous, Syngeneic, and Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplants
  • CAR-T Therapy

• Shift: 12-hour day/night rotating shifts; schedule may include days, nights, or a combination based on staffing needs. Shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks but not guaranteed to change.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum of 1 year Oncology nursing experience, with Oncology experience within the last year.
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Experience working with adult patients.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Telemetry monitoring experience.
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
• Use of Rapid Response Teams.
• Feeding tube care and management.
• Blood product administration.
• Central line blood draws.
• Peripheral line care and management.
• PICC line management.
• Nasal cannula administration.
