Registered Nurse (Neuro) - Travel Position

Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: Yes, float to like units

Unit Information

Specialty: Neuro (Stroke, Neuro Surgery)
Number of Beds: 18
Patient Ratios: 6:1
Equipment: Tele neuro cart
EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arkansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, with Med Surg experience within the last year
BLS certification
Experience with NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Stroke patient care experience

Preferred Experience

NIH Stroke scale knowledge
Experience with back surgery patients

Patient Population

Stroke patients
Neuro surgery patients

Dress Code

Scrub Color: Black
No open-toe shoes allowed

Additional Notes

This position requires working nights with every other weekend coverage.
The role involves direct patient care on a neuro unit with a focus on stroke and neuro surgery patients.
Float to similar units may be required.
