Job Opportunity: Exercise Physiologist

Location: Ionia, Michigan
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Schedule: No weekends, no holidays
• Setting: Outpatient clinic
• Specialty: Sports Medicine / Clinical Exercise Physiology
• Key Responsibilities:

  • Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and stress testing based on physician referrals
  • Patient exercise prescription and protocol development following national guidelines and risk stratification

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as an Exercise Physiologist, including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Experience in outpatient and clinic settings
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License or State ID (must be current throughout assignment)
• Social Security Card
• E-Verify compliance
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year county and state criminal history
  • Social Security Number trace
  • National sex offender registry
  • FACIS Level 3 search
  • Education verification
• Physical exam within 12 months (must note latex sensitivity)
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug test including THC (within 30 days of start)
• Immunizations and health screenings:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) immunity verification or booster/declination
  • Hepatitis B immunity or vaccination series or declination
  • Varicella immunity or booster/declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or declination (required during flu season)
• OSHA Respirator Fit Mask form completed at least 1 week prior to start
• Facility-specific orientation and safety acknowledgements

• References: Minimum of 2 references from previous employers
• Resume: Must include work history with at least 7 years documented
• Competency exams and skill checklists as required by unit
• Fingerprinting requirements apply only if working in specific Michigan locations (not generally required for this role)

Prior Travel Experience

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position. First-time travelers are accepted.
