Description
Job Opportunity: MRI Tech
Location: Seaside, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule & Work Details
- Block schedule required: Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- No floating between units
- No on-call required
- No weekends required
- Expected patient ratio: 1:1
- Facility type: Critical Access
- Total staffed beds: 23
- Charting system: Epic
Required Qualifications
- Valid MRI Technologist license in Oregon
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist
- MRI Technologist experience within the last year
Compliance & Background Requirements
Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years
Education verification required
Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
Immunizations and health documents required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccine or declination
Respirator clearance required annually for travel candidates
Fit mask testing required (3M 1860, 1860S, 1870+ or regionally approved alternatives)
Training & Competency Requirements
- Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
- Annual regulatory requirements
- Specialty-specific modules for Oregon
- Facility-specific modules as applicable
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam as applicable
- Competency exams and skills checklists as required by unit and specialty
- Epic system training modules completion required
References & Employment History
- Minimum of 2 references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with explanations for any gaps or overlaps
Additional Notes
- Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
- Floating policy acknowledgment may be required (may float to other nearby facilities)
- No weekend or on-call shifts expected
- No prior travel experience required for this position
This position offers a structured block schedule in a critical access hospital setting with a focus on MRI technology within radiology and cardiology specialties. Compliance with all licensure, certification, health, and training requirements is mandatory prior to start.
