Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology

Location: Pomona, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:00-17:00 or 07:30-17:30
• Average Daily Census: 7-15 cases
• Call Requirement: 5 weekday nights and 1 full weekend every 6 weeks (7 shifts in a 6-week schedule)
• Work Setting: May float between multiple campuses as needed
• Experience Required:

  • Interventional Radiology (IR), Scrub, and Special Procedures experience required
  • Hybrid OR experience is desired
• Certifications:

  • ACLS and BLS required
  • ARRT VI preferred
• License: New Jersey license required (can be obtained prior to start)
• Uniform and Parking: Uniform provided upon arrival; parking available at each facility
• First-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Special Procedures
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of work eligibility (I-9 or attestation)
• Government-issued photo ID
• Background check within 30 days of start (7-year search, including international if applicable)
• Education verification (diplomas or transcripts)
• Signed HIPAA statement and orientation acknowledgements
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year of start (updated annually)
• Immunizations/vaccinations or positive titers for:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Drug screening (10 panel) within 60 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions accepted with approval)
• Competency exams and pass/fail skills assessments during orientation
• References: 2 current references related to the position within the past 2 years
• Work history verification covering 2 consecutive years prior to start

Additional Notes

• Pass/fail “In House Skills Assessment” during orientation; contract may be cancelled if failed
• Medication system used: Pyxis
• No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Call schedule includes weekday nights and weekends as detailed
• Hybrid OR experience is a plus but not mandatory
