Description

Job Opportunity: MRI Tech

Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Schedule

40 hours per week
Monday to Friday
7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
No weekends or on-call required

Job Description

Position is for a brand new unit opening on 4/13/26
Manager will provide more details during the phone screen

Required Certifications & Licenses

BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC only, RQI acceptable
ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)
ARRT MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance)

Required Qualifications

MRI Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
Current BLS certification
ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification

Orientation & Training

Completion of online orientation modules within 72 hours of assignment
Pre-assignment testing including medication and arrhythmia exams (if applicable)
Respirator fit test completed onsite during orientation
Badge photo required prior to start

Additional Requirements

Driver’s license or state ID required for computer access and on-duty identification
Annual competency exams and training (Core Parts I, II, III) including OSHA and patient safety
Medication and pharmacology competency exams if dispensing medication
Various certifications may be required depending on unit assignment (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
Compliance with background checks including EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG searches

Experience

Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Minimum years of experience: At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience, including recent experience within the last year
No explicit requirement for prior travel experience

This is a travel/contract position in a new unit opening soon
No weekend or call responsibilities
Extensive compliance and credentialing requirements must be met prior to start
Facility is latex-free environment
