Location: Lander, Wyoming
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
As a Surgical Technologist, you will work in the operating room assisting surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists. Your responsibilities include:
- Handing necessary instruments to the surgeon to facilitate smooth surgery
- Anticipating surgeon’s needs to avoid delays
- Monitoring certain surgical equipment related to vital signs
- Setting up and maintaining the surgical field in collaboration with the surgical team
- Assembling, transporting, and retrieving surgical equipment, ensuring all items leave the room
- Keeping surgical equipment ready, including sterile linens, saline, lights, suction machines, etc.
- Inspecting, maintaining, decontaminating, and repairing surgical equipment, and maintaining inventory records
- Conducting pre- and post-surgery patient care such as shaving, transporting, and applying dressings
Shifts are 8 hours in length.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or NBSTSA certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

- This is a travel assignment with a 13-week contract length
