Job Opportunity: ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Pinehurst, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Details

• Cardiac Critical Care Unit
• 12 beds with an average daily census of 8
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• EPIC EMR system experience required

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience (higher value from description)
• Cardiac experience required
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Facility unable to accommodate holiday return to office (RTO)

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system

Additional Requirements

• Two clinical references required (one must be from a supervisor or higher)
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
• Color blindness testing required
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for ICU units
• Physical exam required within 1 year (to meet standard, not facility-mandated)
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules prior to start (up to 21 hours)

Notes

• Candidate must not reside in Moore County, NC
• Prior travel experience is not required
• Facility uses EPIC EMR system exclusively
• Holiday return to office requests cannot be accommodated
