Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Augusta, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Description

May perform Relief Charge RN duties as needed.
Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics.
Unit: Medical Surgical / Remote Telemetry.
Common Diagnoses: Diabetes, med/surg, post-op, wound vacs, bariatrics.
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:5-6.
Unit Beds: 33 beds with an average daily census of 28.
Electronic Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR.
Scrub Color: Navy Blue.
Return to Office (RTO) Policy: Maximum 7 days.
Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend.
Floating: Yes, within facility and scope of practice as needed.
Call Requirements: None.
Holiday Work: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day).

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience with Epic electronic medical record system.

Additional Information

Floating within the facility as needed.
Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time.
Orientation hours vary based on contract length.
Locals accepted at the same rate.
Dress and professional appearance policies apply.
Code of Conduct acknowledgment required prior to start.

Prior Travel Experience

Not explicitly required; 1st time travelers are accepted.

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing, comfortable working with adult to geriatric patients, and able to meet comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
