Job Opportunity: Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours
• Provide nursing care on a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit
• Must have a minimum of 18 months recent and permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
• Must work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition test and medication safety exam required during orientation (passing scores required)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience, with experience within the last year
• ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific onboarding modules prior to start (must be done on a computer using Google Chrome)
• Medication administration and ECG competency exams during orientation (SafeMedicate and ECG interpretation)
• Must carry government-issued photo ID during assignment
• Must complete all required documentation and verifications prior to start
• Candidates with gaps in employment longer than 6 months may need to retake onboarding modules and competency exams

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Candidates must be prepared to complete fingerprinting both through the agency and at the facility
• Candidates with facial hair failing fit mask testing must shave or submit approved medical/religious exemptions
• Physical and eye exams do not need to be updated annually if currently on assignment without a break
• References and employment history must be verifiable and meet specified timeframes
