Job Details

• Shift: 3x12 hour nights (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM)
• Schedule: Will work every other weekend
• Float: Will float as needed
• Facility Type: Short term acute care, Level III trauma center
• Beds: 252 staffed beds
• Charting System: Epic

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Connecticut
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Must complete various facility-specific training modules and attestations prior to or at orientation (e.g., stroke education, CLABSI prevention, pressure injury prevention, language services, suicide risk assessment, patient bedside rounding, ventricular assist device awareness, blood administration, eCart training, chaperone policy training).
• Some certifications and trainings are unit-specific; verify requirements based on assigned unit.
• Candidates must be prepared for background and education verifications, including foreign equivalency evaluations if applicable.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.

Summary

This is a 13-week travel contract for a Medical Surgical RN with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The position requires night shifts with every other weekend work and floating as needed. Candidates must hold a valid Connecticut RN license and current BLS certification at minimum. Additional certifications and competencies may be required depending on the unit. Comprehensive background checks, health screenings, and facility-specific training are mandatory.
