Travel Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Medical Surgical (Renal Med Surg) care for adult to geriatric patient populations. The role involves working in a unit with a 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 48 patients. The position requires use of Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems.

Work Schedule & Requirements

• Weekends: Every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, within facility/scope of practice as needed
• Call: None
• Holidays: Expected to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
• Return to Orientation (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Background check completed within 30 days prior to start
• Education verification of nursing degree required (can be pending with proof of processing)
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (with additional requirements if history of positive TB)
• Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and seasonal flu vaccination or declination
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days prior to start
• Annual NURSYS license verification
• Skills checklist and work history verification required (can be pending with proof of processing)
• Color blindness test required

Additional Notes

• Locals accepted at the same rate
• Orientation hours vary based on contract length
• Full compliance with all documentation and credentialing required to start on time; delays may result in assignment pushback
• Floating within the facility as needed, within scope of practice
• No call responsibilities

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of medical surgical experience, comfortable working with adult to geriatric patients, and able to meet all credentialing and compliance requirements promptly.
