Job Opportunity: Cardiac Stress Testing Registered Nurse

Location: Snellville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiac Stress Testing to perform Exercise Stress Tests, Pharmacological Stress Tests (primarily Dobutamine), and Stress Echo procedures. The patient population ranges from adults to geriatrics.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• 1st time travelers not accepted (prior travel experience required)

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

Work Environment & Requirements

• Floating within facility/scope of practice as needed
• No weekend shifts required
• Call not required
• Expected to work major holidays if they fall during the assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
• Electronic health record systems used: Epic, Pyxis
• Scrub color: Dark Blue
• Return to Office (RTO) maximum 7 days

Compliance & Screening

• Full compliance required to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
• Clinical screening will be conducted to determine clinical fit before final approval

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Georgia
• Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience, including experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Experience performing Stress Echo procedures
• Ability to float within the facility as needed

Health & Background Requirements

• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 60 days of start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Immunizations and titers as required (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TB testing, Flu vaccine or declination)
• Background check completed within 30 days of start
• Education verification and work history verification required
• Skills checklist updated within 12 months

Competency Exams (Aya Required)

• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam
• Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam (3 attempts allowed)
• Color blind testing

Additional Notes

• Number of non-billable orientation hours depends on contract length
• Candidate must review and sign code of conduct and dress/professional appearance policies prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced cardiac stress testing RNs who have prior travel contract experience and meet the certification and compliance requirements.
