Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Weekend Requirement: Yes, on-call one Saturday per month (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
On-Call Requirement: Yes, one Saturday per month (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
Patient Age Group: Adults
Floating: Yes
Orientation: Bi-weekly
Scrub Color: Royal Blue or Galaxy Blue
Flu Vaccine: Required, no exemptions or declinations accepted

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Oncology nursing experience, with Oncology experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Chemotherapy certification from ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) or ONCC (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation)
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Local candidates: Considered if within 75 miles
Documentation: Must provide valid government-issued photo ID and Social Security card if used for I9 verification
Guest Account: Must set up a facility-specific guest account prior to clearance for orientation and work access
Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required during orientation
Pass/Fail Testing: EKG/medication knowledge testing required at orientation (except RRTs)
CPI Training: Crisis Prevention Institute training provided during orientation (valid for 2 years)
