Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Oncology
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, on-call one Saturday per month (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
- On-Call Requirement: Yes, one Saturday per month (8:00 AM – 1:00 PM)
- Patient Age Group: Adults
- Floating: Yes
- Orientation: Bi-weekly
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue or Galaxy Blue
- Flu Vaccine: Required, no exemptions or declinations accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Oncology nursing experience, with Oncology experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Chemotherapy certification from ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) or ONCC (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation)
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Important Notes
- First-time travelers: Eligible to apply
- Local candidates: Considered if within 75 miles
- Documentation: Must provide valid government-issued photo ID and Social Security card if used for I9 verification
- Guest Account: Must set up a facility-specific guest account prior to clearance for orientation and work access
- Competency Exams: Unit-specific competency exams required during orientation
- Pass/Fail Testing: EKG/medication knowledge testing required at orientation (except RRTs)
- CPI Training: Crisis Prevention Institute training provided during orientation (valid for 2 years)
